My Little Creatures of Comfort

So, Shih Tzu's aren't the most intelligent breed of dogs.

Having said that, they're aren't on the list of 10 least intelligent breeds either!

PHEW!

But in terms of cuteness, in my very bias opinion, they win hands down!

Hey, I'm their mommy!
of course I'm entitled to be bias,
its a mommy's GOD given right.

Everyone loves their pets no matter what....and of course, an owner would choose a breed they like for their looks, characteristics and companionship.

I've taught them some simple tricks like, sit, stand (up), roll-over (Zara only) and lie-down (Chino only).
They know there's YUMMY MEATY treats in store for them.

When u putting down camera and givs us treats?

They sleep on my bed and pillow and follow me everywhere.

Hehe! Conquered!

Even when I step into the toilet for a quick pee!

Still sitting there after I'm done


Yes, they might have some separation anxiety
(and yes, I know its not healthy)

But they get on superbly...

A very rare occasion when they share the goggie bed for all of 1 min

Zara would chew on Chino's ears...and tug it nearly off his head...
and he'd just lie there n let her go at them.

Chino would not run out of the front door even if it's left wide open. (Coz he had been accidentally locked out in the pouring rain before!) - phobia

He'd sit by the door and look out...like a perfectly well-behaved doggie.

He always sits with his feet tucked in under him
all he needs now is a black bow-tie

Zara...the messy-thinks-she's-supagirl-goggie would dash out like a bullet as soon as I get home (if the front door is left open).
We're still training her to stay by the door.

She's still a little baby (1+ yr old)

Chino's the strong silent type (2+ yrs old)
(typical male, maybe minus the ego)

But they're both very loyal and adorable.

I found out that Zara will come to comfort me when I'm feeling blue,
when I pretend to weep and cover my face with my hands,
she gets all worried and comes to lick my face to comfort me.
She really does genuinely looks concerned!



I was feeling a lil blue a few mins ago...and sighed and whined a bit...hehe!
and she instantly came over and gave me a few small lil licks on my nose!!
as if to say "its ok mommy, i'm here!"



Chino would come and plonk himself down next to my body/back/legs every night.
He likes to remind me that he cares in his own way...
then he's off...
jumps off the bed and falls asleep on the floor.

Sometimes I wake up to this...

I swear he sleeps like this all the time!


Sometimes I don't have any space to move on my queen sized bed...
coz someone would be on my head, backed up against me or
just sprawled right in the middle!

Their other fav place to hang out while I'm watching tv is at the balcony, where the air is fresh and floor, cool.

When its bedtime, I just get up, go to my room, turn on the fan (+ aircond, if the need arises) and they'd come immediately, or with just a "come on guys, bedtime!"

Ahhhh!

They're my AWESOME GOGGIES!!!
and I wouldn't trade them for the WORLD!
