Ladies,

Have you ever been told by a potential bf or a bf/ex that he can't be with you because you are too intelligent/smart?

(Just for the sake of discussion, lest I be judged as being too opinionated and out-spoken and a snob.)

How did/do you feel?

Funnily, I've been told that before.

Now, I ain't no Einstein, nor do I think of myself as intelligent.
Maybe just not so stupid.

Of course I felt upset at first....but then I thought...Wait a minute....

"Are you saying YOU'RE NOT INTELLIGENT enough to be with me?"

Hah...that's your loss mate!

But is that really an issue? That a guy wouldn't want to be with a girl who's more intelligent/smarter than him?

Is it an inferiority complex? (on the guy's part)

I'm sure girls would feel frustrated too if their other half was a dimwit.

But it seems, its ok (in most cases) for the guy to be smarter than the girl.
Makes them feel macho, I think.

Makes me wonder...if "smarter girl - average joe" relationship can actually work.
